Around 20 years ago, I came across an advert giving information on how I could ‘research your family history’ and I thought – mm…. maybe I can find my grandparents. My mums maiden name was pretty unusual – so I gave it a go – and wow – my granddad had so many brothers and sisters I knew nothing about!!

Grandad was Harry Moores Bletcher, born in 1898; his family address was 28 Store Street, Manchester. Talk about coincidences – at the time I was working in a building on that very same street in Manchester; further research showed that he and my gran were married in the church just around the corner

and my journey began……
